Albers, who died Monday at his Harlingen, Texas, home. Survivors include his wife, Alyce of Harlingen; a son, Jim Albers, and daughter, Annetta Holmgren, both of Rapid City; a stepson, Mike Lyons of Stillwater, a stepdaughter, Mary Oliphant of Long Beach, a sister, Sister Evarista Albers of Rapid City; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Cunningham Harrison Cunningham Casey Tibbs Bernice C. Koch FORT PIERRE Services for Bernice C. Koch, 62, Fort Pierre, will be at 10 a.m. today at Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre, with the Rev. Brad Urbach officiating.

She died Friday at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Pierre. Hofmeister Funeral Chapel of Pierre is in charge of arrangements. Bernice Clara Titze was born March 14, 1927, at White River to Carl and Clara (Kursave) Titze. She grew up in Lebanon and attended Potter County rural schools.

She married Ralph C. Koch March 20, 1945, in Pierre. They lived in Pierre, and in the early 1950s they moved to Seattle, for a few years before returning to Pierre. Her husband died in 1960, and she continued to live in Pierre until 1962, when she moved to Fort Pierre. She was employed as a clerk typist for the South Dakota Department of Motor Vehicles.

She retired from the position March 17, 1989, after 22 years of service. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Pierre and always took special interest in her grandchildren and traveling. She is survived by two sons, Gordon Koch of Washington, D.C., and Gregory Koch of Bettendorf, Iowa; a daughter, Pamela Koch of Spearfish; three brothers, Calvin Titze of Fort Pierre, Keith Titze of Lebanon, and Rolland Titze of Gettysburg; one sister, Beverly Thompson of Arcadia, four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Glenn in 1956; two brothers, Donald and Norman; and three sisters, Lola, Verna and FORI' PIERRE Services for Casey Tibbs, 60, South Dakota's legendary bronc rider, have been scheduled in kamona, and at Fort Pierre. Tibbs died Sunday of cancer at his Kamona home.

The first service will be Friday afternoon at the Country Estates rodeo grounds near Ramona. The second service will be at 1 p.m. (MST) Monday in the Community and Youth Involvement Center on East Main Street in Fort Pierre. Burial will be in Scotty Philip Cemetery, which is along S.D. Highway 1806 about a mile north of U.S.

Highway 14 near Fort Pierre. Feigum-Hall Funeral Home of Pierre is handling local arrangements. Tibbs was the youngest of 10 children born on the family's horse ranch about 60 miles northwest of Pierre. He won a record six world saddle bronc riding championships during his career with the professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in the 1940s, '50s and '60s. Tibbs also claimed two all-around cowboy titles, Which goes to the contestant winning the most money in two or more events, and one bareback bronc riding crown.

He is survived by two brothers, Thad "Doc" Tibbs and Ancel Tibbs, both of Fort Pierre; and two sisters, Ardie Cook of Spearfish and Dollie Muir of Kirkland, Wash Evelyn Claar MOORCROFT, Wyo. A memorial service for Ruth Evelyn Claar, 62, Moorcroft, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Southern Baptist Church of Moorcroft, with Brother Ed Nipper officiating. She died early Saturday morning at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette. A memorial has been established for the Nurses Association of Memorial Hospital.

Donations may be sent to Moorcroft State Bank or Dick Claar, Box 247, Moorcroft, 82721. She was born Sept. 18, 1927, at Moorcroft to Roy and Pearl (Tallman) Kimsey and grew up on the family homestead in the Weston-Oshoto area and on the ranch on Buffalo Creek. After graduating from Upton High School she received nurse's training at Bozeman, Mont. On Nov.

16, 1946, she married Clell Russell Varner at Hardin, Mont. They had two sons, Clell Richard and Michael Wayne. Her husband died in 1952. On Dec. 26, 1952, she married Eugene Claar at Rapid City, S.D.

They had two sons, Kendall Eugene and Charles Raye. She lived many years in Denver and New Orleans and for the last 10 years lived at Moorcroft, where she operated Sonny's Cafe and the Coffee Cup Bakery. She was also a practicing nurse in her early years and for the last two years was also a nurse at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Surviving are four sons, Dick Claar and Charles Claar of Moorcroft, Kendall Claar of Pauley's Island, S.C., and Michael Claar of Upton. Fidler-Roberts Northeastern Wyoming Funeral Chapel of Sundance is in charge of arrangements.

Billy D. Wilson PINE RIDGE Services for Billy D. Wilson, 35, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Pine Ridge, with the Rev. Ben Tyon officiating.

He died Thursday in Dallas, Texas, of injuries suffered in a car accident. Wake services will begin at 1 p.m. today at Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge. Burial will be in Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery. He was born Oct.

4, 1954, at Pine Ridge to Richard and Yvonne (Whalen) Wilson Sr. He attended school in Pine Ridge and received special training in 1975 in auto and diesel at the Technical Vocational Institute in Albuquerque, N.M. He later received a four-year training degree in auto body and fender repair at Mount Hood Community College in Beaverton, Ore. At the time of his death, he was pursuing electronics training in Dallas and also was manager of Paines Auto Care in Dallas. He was a member of the Riff Raff basketball team in Pine Ridge, the Portland Powwow Club and was an avid Pine Ridge Thorpe booster.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy Wilson of Chicago and Justin Wilson of Nespalem, two daughters, Lovey Wilson of Chicago and Tracey Wilson of Wounded Knee; his parents, Richard Wilson and Yvonne "Sister" Wilson of Pine Ridge; two brothers, Manny Wilson and Steve Wilson, both of Pine Ridge; a half brother, Teddy Coomes of Rapid City; four sisters, Saunie Kaye Wilson, RaMona Wilson and Holly Goings, all of Pine Ridge, and Connie Wilson of Rapid City. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one sister. Arrangements are with Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge. Helen A. Nelson BOX ELDER Services for Helen A.

Nelson, 53, Box Elder, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday ut Emmanuel Baptist Church at Box Elder with the Rev. Burton Brush officiating Burial will follow at the Murdo cemetery at 4 p.m. CST. She died Saturday at Rapid City Kegional Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Behrens Mortuary and at the church before services. A memorial has been established to the church's bus ministry. She was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Jones County to Reuben and Ruth (Vernon) Whitaker.

She graduated from Murdo High School. On Dec. 24, 1954, she married Kenneth E. Nelson at Rapid City. They lived in Murdo.

In 1964 they moved to White River. In 1975 they moved to Rapid City. For the past sue years she had lived at Box Elder. Since 1975 she worked for the state Highway Department's maintenance and service divisions. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there for several years.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth, of Murdo; two daughters, Valerie Lininger of Rapid City and Kenda Huber of Parmelee; two sons, Brad Nelson of San Diego, and Shevron Nelson of Box Elder; three brothers, Glenn Whitaker of Brookings, Vernon Whitaker of Sioux Falls and Duane "Bill" Whitaker of Phoenix, three sisters, Betty Cressy of Piedmont, Marilee Niehoff of Murdo and Gail Stickler of Springfield, and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, who died in 1979. Edith M. Manke MARTIN Services for Edith May Manke, 77, Martin, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the American Legion Auditorium in Martin, with the Rev.

Ben Whitfield officiating. She died Saturday at Bennett County Nursing Home following a brief illness. Visitation will be this afternoon and evening and Wednesday morning at Ziegler Funeral Home in Martin. Burial will be in Martin Community Cemetery. A memorial has been established at Blackpipe State Bank in Martin.

She was born Jan. 20, 1913, in Sac City, Iowa, to Charles and Rose (Zurcher) Fetter. She grew up and was educated in Bennett County. She married Clarence McNaught July 17, 1933. They lived in Oregon and later farmed and ranched in the Patricia area.

Her husband died June 30, 1951. She moved to Martin and worked for Hicks Fountain for several years. She married Gayhart Leo Manke Nov. 10, 1953, in Martin. They owned and operated the Ford garage for several years, then operated the Husky Oil Co.

before retiring. Her husband died Nov. 11, 1984. Mrs. Manke continued to live in Martin.

She did volunteer work at Bennett County Nursing Home and was active in the senior citizens organization. She was honored for 1,000 hours of volunteer work she performed at the nursing home. She was a member of Lindsey Memorial Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and Senior Citizens. Survivors include a son, Jerry Manke of Martin; a daughter, Marilyn Engel of Misaw, Japan; two brothers, Orville Fetter of Martin and Lee Charles Fetter of Rapid City; and three grandsons, Travis Manke of Martin, Jeffery Engel of Oklahoma and Michael Engel of Misaw. She was preceded in death by two husbands and two grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the church, He was born July 21, 1900, at Stratford to William und Louisa Rossow He married DeEtte Campbell Brandt Dec. 12, 1927, at Bozeman, Mont.

hey moved to the Black Hills in 1928, living in Sturgis until moving to a farm northeast of Whitewood in 1929. He worked at Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center for a number of years until retiring from the housekeeping section. He entered Sturgis Longterm Health Care Center in 1988. Survivors include his wife of Whitewood; a son, Dale Rossow of Whitewood; a daughter, Averil (Mrs. Gene) Yuill of Whitewood; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Blanche Best Services for Blanche E. Best, 93, Rapid City, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Methodist Church in Wall, with the Rev. Lyla Sloat officiating.

Mrs. Best died Sunday in a Rapid City rest home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Behrens Mortuary and one hour before service at the church.

A memorial has been established to the church. Burial will be in Wall Cemetery. She was born Feb. 22, 1896, in Montrose to Charles and Anna (Thicken) Spencer. She was raised and attended schools in Sioux Falls.

She was a young girl when her mother died, and she was raised by a grandmother, Lily Thickert. She married Charles Best July 14, 1916, in Esmond. They farmed in the Iroquois area and farmed and ranched elsewhere in eastern South Dakota. The family moved to Wasta in 1930 and to Wall in 1933. They built Best Cottage Court in Wall and operated it from 1938 to 1961 when they moved to Rapid City.

Her husband died in 1963. Survivors include a son, Glenn Best of Rapid City; 1 1 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Best also was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, a grandson, a brother and three sisters. Rev.

Sylvan R. Moe NORTH FIELD, Minn. Services for the Rev. Sylvan R. Moe, 77, who died Sunday at his home in Northfield, will be at 2 p.m.

Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in North-field, with the Rev. Jennings Feroe officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Northfield. He was born July, 30, 1912, in Conway, to the Rev.

A. Elmer and Delia Moe. Moe had been pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rapid City, S.D., from 1941 to 1956. After leaving Rapid City he was pastor of First Lutheran Church in Janesville, before retiring in 1978. Moe was vice president of the South Dakota Evangelical Lutheran Church during 1955 and 1956.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille of Northfield; two sons, Sylvan Moe of Lenox, and Richard Moe of Northfield; three daughters, Sharon (Mrs. Anthony) Moe Miranda and Karla Moe of New York City, and Janet (Mrs. David) Moe Baldwin of Blair, three grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Moe of Hemet, and one sister. Grace Liddiard of Madison, S.D. Arrangements are with Bensen Funeral Home of Northfield.

Correction Campbell, Paula Quinn Funeral Home misspelled the name of Emery Nielsen, 87, of Rapid City, in his obituary Monday. The name of his daughter, Joanna Staats, also was misspelled. Services for Nielsen were to be at 11:30 a.m. today at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, daughter and granddaughter, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one Lily E.

Cunningham Harrison Cunningham HOT SPRINGS Joint Muss of Christian burial for l.ily E. Cunningham, 85, and her husband, Harrison "Shorty" Cunningham, 82, both of Hot Springs, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St Anthony's Catholic Church here. The Rev. Peter Wilke will be celebrant.

She died Friday In Southern Hills General Hospital in Hot Springs. He died Saturday morning in the Hot Springs Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Peaceful Pines Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Rosary and wake services will begin at 7 p.m.

Wednesday at St. Anthony's. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs. She was born May 25, 1904, at Marsland, to Edward E. and Sarah Jane Horner.

She grew up on a homestead west of Marsland and attended school there and in Crawford, Neb. She was a seamstress for the Works Progress Administration at Crawford and in Hot Springs. She married Bert E. Pritchett in 1921. They had two daughters, Beu-lah (Mrs.

Arthur) Donnell and Violet (Mrs. Gene) Inman, both of Hoi Springs. She married Charles LaRiviere in 1938, and they ranched at Ardmore until his death in 1954. She married Frank Burke in 1955 and moved to Hot Springs following his death. She married Harrison "Shorty" Cunningham July 13, 1957, in Hot Springs, where they lived for 32 years.

She was a member of Catholic Daughters of St. Anthony's, the Homemakers Club, the Fall River Extension Club and Hot Springs Area Arts Council. Survivors include two daughters, Violet Inman and Beulah Donnell, both of Hot Springs; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by eight brothers, one sister, one grandson and three husbands. Harrison "Shorty" Cunningham was born March 19, 1907, at Nevis, to Thomas and Jemima (Mutters) Cunningham.

His family later lived in Lodgepole and Newell. He attended a mechanics school in Detroit and served in the Army from March 1942 to June 1943. He worked as a mechanic in the Northwest and later at various auto repair shops in Hot Springs. He was a member of the American Legion. In addition to his stepdaughters and grandchildren, he is survived by one sister, Martha Cunningham of Lemmon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife. Mary E. Schneider GETTYSBURG Services for Mary E. Schneider, 97, Gettysburg, who died last Tuesday, were Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gettysburg, with the Rev. Tad Boci-anowski officiating.

Burial was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Hoven. She was born Aug. 3, 1892, near Hoven in Potter County to Peter and Elizabeth Schneider. At the age of 8 she moved with her family to Lebanon where she attended local schools.

She graduated from Aberdeen Business College. She worked for 31 years at First Savings Bank of Aberdeen, which was later known as Aberdeen Mutual. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Altar Society of Aberdeen. She had lived at Oahe Manor in Gettysburg since September 1985. Survivors include four nieces and nephews, Leonard Schneider of Gettysburg, Donovan Schneider of Lebanon, Jeannette Anderson of Rapid City and Joyce Schoof of Tucson, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by nine brothers. Allen M. Elvestrom SPEARFISH Services for Allen M. Elvestrom, 70, of Spearfish will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spearfish with the Rev.

Richard L. Schlack officiating. Elvestrom died Saturday morning at the Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Burial with military honors will be in the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with Jolley Brothers Memorial Chapel of Spearfish in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m.

today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A lunch for family and friends will be served at the church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. He was born April 10, 1919, at Bricelyn, to Martin and Marie (Hande) Elvestrom. He grew up in the Bricelyn and Willmar area where he attended school. On March 20, 1941, he entered the Fourth Cavalry and was stationed at Fort Meade until January 1943, when he transferred to Camp Maxey.

From December 1943 until his discharge in October 1945 he served as a tank commander in Europe. He married Norma Swanson, formerly of Deadwood, on Oct. 29, 1943, at Paris, Texas. After his discharge, he moved to the Lead-Deadwood area where he worked as a mechanic. In 1948 he went to work for Homestake Mining Company and stayed there until 1971 when he became a federal mine safety and health inspector.

During this period he worked and lived in Indiana, Ohio and Watertown, S.D. He retired October 1981, and since 1982 had made his home in Spearfish. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Surviving are his wife of Spearfish; one son, Terry Elvestrom of Spearfish; one daughter, Ida Marie Lewison of Great Falls, one sister, Dagmar Kerr of Albert Lea, one sister-in-law, Vedy Elvestrom of Bricelyn, three nieces; one nephew numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bert.

Commissioners to meet tonight The operation of a new emergency calling system, bid awards, the county labor attorney and capital improvements are scheduled to be discussed during the meeting of the Pennington County Commission tonight. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the commissioners' room of the Pennington County Courthouse.
