Raeid City. S.D. 22 1 Sunday, October 11, 1964 Choosing A Deodorant What woman doesn't feel like to her newgoing, dress precdenty falls apart? If its the area under the arms that has fallen apart it is probably caused by deodorant damage. Selecting the right deodorant can prevent perspiration odor and damage to fabrics at the same time. The general term "deodorant" applies to two distinct groups.

One group is made up of those preparations which deodorize perspiration. A number of these have been tested and granted the Certified Washable Seal of the American Institute of Laundering which is awarded to deodorants found to be nonharmful to fabrics. In the other group of deodorants are the nonperspirants preparations that close the pores and actually prevent perspiration. Many of these antiperspirants are strongly acid in nature and can result in fabric damage. Everyone's perspiration problem is different but to be sure that the deodorant you select is not harmful to fabrics look for the Certified Washable Seal on the package or label.
