Wednesday, July 10, with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, at OsheimCatron Funeral Home in Rapid City. Memorial services will be later in July. A memorial has been established to Black Hills Arthritis Association and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

Funeral services for Adele M. Taylor, 75. have been set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1620 Milwaukee family burial will be at a later date.

Mrs. Taylor died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the church.

1927. to John and Mabel (Shave) Meier on the family farm four miles north of Loyalton. South Dakota. She completed eight years of elementary school in seven years at Montpelier Country Taylor School and attended Loyalton High School until transferring to Roscoe High School. where she graduated with the class of 1944.

She attended Business College in Mitchell. South Dakota, and began her secretarial career with the Aberdeen District Office of the I.R.S. She was confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Roscoe. South Dakota.

At the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen on September 26. 1951. she married Harley F. Taylor of Northville. South Dakota.

This marriage lasted nearly -one years. Four daughters were born of this union: Jacalyn (Geoffrey) Slingsby of Rapid City, SD. Joan (Neal) LaFon of Franktown. Colorado. Catherine (James) Couch of Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma, and Lynn (Stephen) Eckrich of Rapid City. SD. She was an exceptionally good mother and homemaker. She loved to cook and sew. Making dresses was one of her specialties.

In fact. her oldest daughter was sixteen years old before receiving her first store-bought dress. She played a huge role, especially in the early years of her husband's John Deere dealership. She made and retained friends easily and could see the good points in each person she met. She possessed that golden touch that lies between saying too little and saying too much.

During her lifetime, she was active in many organizations. including PEO. Pasque Club. Bethlehem Lutheran Church Circle, several bridge clubs and Job's Daughters. Her community volunteer work included working at election voting polls.

the Saint Luke's Hospital Gift Shop. Meals on Wheels. YWCA. PTA and various activities at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Yelduz Shrine Horse Patrol Gals for over thirty years.

Adele loved music. the theater and traveling, particularly in the family motor home. She instilled these loves in her children through many memorable experiences the family has shared. Most of all her greatest love was her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Harley, her four daughters.

four sons-in-law. twelve grandchildren: Jacob Couch (17), Joey Couch (14). Jason Slingsby (13). Taylor Slingsby (13), Max LaFon (13). Weston LaFon (11).

Janell Eckrich (11), Patrick Eckrich (10). Calley LaFon (9). Nichole Eckrich (8), Marissa Eckrich (5). and Carolyn Eckrich (3). She is also survived by two sisters: Susanna Brammer of Aberdeen and Ruth (Louis) Hamilton of Yuba City.

Honorary casket bearers will be all of Adele's many friends and family. In her honor. a memorial fund has been established at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Myrtle Irene Borgmeyer TUCSON, Ariz. Myrtle Irene Borgmeyer, wife, mother and business partner, 85, passed June 4, 2002, in Tucson.

Interment was at Black Hills National Cemetery next to her husband of 65 years, Dr. Henry John Borgmeyer, who predeceased her by two months. Myrtle Myrtle was Borgmeyer born August 8, 1916, on a 160-acre family farm in Meadow, South Dakota, to Ted Huwe and Tracy (Lorenz) Huwe. After graduating from Lemmon High School in 1934, she got her first "off-farm" job as a maid in a house on West Boulevard in Rapid City. She then worked in a drugstore in Deadwood, where she was united in marriage to Henry in 1937.

While Henry was in the Army Medical Corps from 1941 to 1946, Myrtle accompanied him to Philadelphia, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Cheyenne. When he served in the European Theatre, she lived in Rapid City in various houses near Eighth and Franklin streets. They moved in 1950 to their present home in the 1700 block of Eleventh Street. Myrtle ran both rental and ranch businesses for 50 years through the combination of a prodigious work ethic, a "cando-attitude." and a piercing intelligence. She balanced her work life by playing piano "by ear." dancing with Henry at the VFW, and bridge.

She was wife, caregiver and business manager for their remaining thirty years after her husband's injury and retirement in 1972. Myrtle was predeceased by her two brothers, her two sisters, and one grandchild. She is survived by her daughter Jan Gallagher of San Mateo, California, son Robert of Tucson, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Martin, 75, Eagle Butte, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre. Survivors include three sons, Daniel Martin, Aberdeen, and LaVern Martin and David Martin, both of Eagle Butte: four daughters, Mary Rousseau, Frances Rousseau, Shirley Ducheneaux and Marilyn Balderas, all of Eagle Butte; three brothers, Andy Fischer, Midland, Leo Fischer, Eagle Butte, and Raymond Fischer, Haywarden, Iowa; two sisters, Frances Webb, Wecota, and Kathy Olson, Pierre; 23 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. Her husband, Harvey Martin, preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 6 p.m.

Mrs. Sauser was 86 years old. Mrs. Emmaline G. Sauser was born November 6, 1915 to Mr.

and Mrs. Parker and Amelia (Traversie) Gage in Timber Lake, South Dakota. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1935 and then attended and graduated from Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1936. She completed a two-year program in just one year. After graduating she worked at Cheyenne River Agency for one year and then transferred to the Pine Ridge Agency in 1938.

Emmaline married Ray Sauser on April 4, 1940. This union was blessed with two sons, Jon and Jim. After 20 years of work with the Bureau of Indian Affairs Service she retired and the family moved to the ranch. In 1967 she went back to work at the Loneman School and 9 years later in 1976, she once more retired and spent remainder of her time with the family at the ranch. She will be greatly missed by her husband Ray, her sons Jon and wife Deb Sauser of Chadron, Jim and wife Marla Sauser of Oglala, South Dakota, her brother Bernard Gage of Seattle, Washington, her sister Catherine Johnson of Flandreau, South Dakota, 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Parker and Amelia. Chamberlain Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Melvin D. Presson 3 BUFFALO GAP Melvin D. Presson, 52, Buffalo Gap, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at Hot Springs Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Presson and Denise Presson, both of Colorado Springs, and one grandson. Jayne M. Hohn, OD, 45, of Rapid City, July 5, 2002, at her home. born May 12, 1957 in Parkston, SD. to Marlin and Wilma (Schoenfelder) Hohn. Jayne earned her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University in 1983.

She worked as an optometrist in the Rapid City area until February 1998, when she established the Hohn Vision Center. Jayne was a member of the Rapid City Catholic Community. Survivors include her parents, Marlin and Wilma Hohn of Dimock; six brothers, David Hohn and wife Diane of Plymouth, MN, Darrel Hohn and wife Connie of Colleyville, TX, Steve Hohn and wife Paulette of Parkston, Stan Hohn of Martin, and Brian Hohn and wife Melody, Bradley Hohn and wife Lisa, all of Parkston: one a sister, Germaine Day and husband David of Bossier three nieces; and 10 nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle. grandparents.
