She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, her parents, two brothers and ed with her job. She met Richard "Dick" Cooper in August and they were married on June 16, 1956, in Minneapolis.

The couple moved to Sisseton, S.D., where Dick worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. They lived in Mobridge, S.D., prior to settling in Sturgis, where they raised their family. Mary was a member of St. Francis Parish. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and a good nickel slot machine.

Survivors include her son, Mike (Heather) Cooper, Rapid City; daughters, Judy (Sam) Sommers, Sioux Falls, Teresa (Lynn) Breidenbach, Evelyn Hannant, 80 Thelma Henry, 86 Sherry L. During high school, he was active in FFA, track and football, proud of being the smallest starting guard his junior and senior years in the ESD. Attending SDSU for a year, he then enlisted in the United States Army. Ray returned to Brookings graduating in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He taught at New Rockford, N.D., New Underwood, S.D., and Pine Evelyn Hannant REEDS SPRING, Mo.

Emma Ham, 93, formerly of Rapid City, S.D., died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Frasi-er Meadows AB House Nursing Home. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Steberl, Mill Creek, and Lorelle Fenton, Golden; four grandchildren; several great -grandchildren; brother, Ed Brunner, Rapid City; and sister, Esther Langdon, Casper, Wyo. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Osheim Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Blvd.

Henry. They resided north of Crawford until the fall of 1948. They trailed their small herd of cattle to the Pine Ridge Reservation. They lived there until 2005 when they moved to Rushville. To this union, three sons were born, Raymond Michael Henry Jr.

and wife, Bonita, of Edgemont, S.D., E. Patrick Henry and wife, Leslie, of Pine Ridge, S.D., Ridge, S.D., teaching math, science and agriculture, his involvement in FFA continuing as an adviser. In 1962, he joined the FHA and was dedicated to serving his clientele, many remaining friends long after his government career was finished. His work took him to offices in Winner, White River, Buffalo, Bison and Belle Fourche. He retired in 1994, with over 32 years of government service.

Ray enjoyed life Ray loved his family, sharing his presence and time while helping with chores, relishing their company at meals or savoring outdoor activities. Whether hunting, camping or riding on his motorcycle, memories were made and shared. He could recount first hunts with his father, sons and grandsons. Camping meant family fun from fishing to marshmallows to pies. During a trip, rally time or simply a shared afternoon ride up Spearfish Canyon, the Telkampitos were a bless -ing and made the day.

Receiving his amateur radio (ham) license in 1973, Ray continued this hobby the rest of his life and earned his Extra Class license. He loved Roger V. Overby RAPID CITY Roger V. Overby, 80, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Rapid City' Regional Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Janice Overby, Rapid City; daughters, Theresa Sigler, Sherree Straw and Denise Moore, all of Rapid City; sons, Steven Overby, Douglas, and Gary Overby, Tracy, 14 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; and two brothers, Gerhardt Overby, Black Hawk, and Daryl Overby, Rapid City.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Faith Lutheran Church and one hour before services. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at the church, with the Rev.

In addition to his father in 1904 and mother in 1943, when he was 9 years old, he was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin (Jack), Kenneth, Keith and brother-in-law Bill. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Wood, Rapid City; sons, Douglas Wood, Gillette, and Steven Wood, New Underwood; 11 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Jacobson, New Underwood. Thursday, May 3, at Immaculate Conception Church in Rushville. a QSO (conversation) with people around the world as well as his Hills friends. Saturday morning breakfasts provided face-to-face time among friends spiced with laughter and conversation. He was a member of the AR-RLandtheQCWA. Willing to lend a hand, Ray served the various communities in which he lived.

He was a fireman, an EMT, an ambulance driver and a school board member. He also assisted NARFE serving as chapter treasurer, district legislative representative and state treasurer and first vice president. Always up for a visit, coffee klatch enlivened his days in retirement and enriched friendships. Grateful for sharing his life are his wife of 31 years, Darlene of Spearfish, and four children and their families. The three sons are Lee (Kristin) and grandchildren Jessica, Joe, Simon, Kelby and Henry of Johnstown, Scott (Carolyn) and grandson Josh of Gillette, and Christopher (Marni) and grandson Brock of Centennial, and his daughter is Betty (Daniel) McKellar and Verna Mae Sharp RAPID CITY Verna Mae Sharp, 79, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at home.

Survivors include three daughters, Deb Collins, Robin Muir and Sheri Trau-pel, all of Rapid City; son, Douglas Sharp, Forksville, 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Allen, Kadoka, and Velma Ar-ment, Wanblee; and three brothers, Tommy Terkild-sen, Kadoka, Lavern Terk-ildsen, Wall, and Art Terk-ildsen, San Jose, Calif.
